In Memory of Donald Placko
Donald Andrew Placko, 64, of 5016 S. St. Rt. 231, Tiffin, OH, died Sunday, October 2, 2005, as a result of a boating accident in Lake Erie.

Donald was born September 15, 1941, to the late Andrew Placko and Mary (Gaul) Placko. In December of 1993, he married Cheryl (Clouse) Placko and she survives.

Other survivors include his two sons, David Placko of Vista, CA and Greg Placko of Lutz, FL; a step son, Chris Clouse of Fostoria and a step daughter, Kenzie Green of Rossford; a brother, Edward Placko and a sister, Delores Schimming, both of Oregon, OH. Mr. Placko also had 5 grand-children. His parents preceded him in death.

Don worked for the Commodore Perry Hotel in Toledo for 20 years. He was a salesman at Aerial Farm Statistics in Toledo for 10 years. Donald was also the owner/operator of Don's Fireside Barber Shop in Tiffin for the past 10 years.

Don was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a life time member of the North American Hunting Club. He also was a member of Seneca County Izaak Walton League, Ducks Unlimited, National Rifle Association and Harmony Hunting Club of P.A.

Funeral Services will take place Sunday, October 23, 2005, at 2:00 p.m. at the First Christian Church with Pastor Douglas DeVos officiating. The First Christian Church is located at the corner of St. Rt. 224 and Co. Rd. 19. Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. at the church. Military Honors will be conducted by the United Veterans Council. A meal will be provided immediately following military services.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Division of Watercraft and the United States Coast Guard.
